  1. Hey all, New CNC machinist here. I have a question on work offsets and how to make it so that my HAAS machine mills out evenly from the stock. I have a program to machine a small rectangle (1.77" x 1.16" x .25") from a piece of stock measuring 2" x 1.5" x .5". I have probed the piece of stock in the machine with the "rectangular block" function numerous times, ""outside corner" and even tried to separately probe each "individual surface" as well. I'm a bit lost on how to accomplish this and have even sides so that I can flip the part and finish it. Anyone on here able to give some advice? TIA.
  2. Hi everyone. I tried to defined my 2.5D milling machine in mastercam, but when I test a contour toolpath and export Gcode file I found that the A axis is included .nc file, so my machine cannot understand this code. I try a lot methods but seem to be hard for me. And one problem is in my plane manager, I had set work offset value 0 for my fixture but in .nc file it doesn't show G54 code. I'm new in this industry, please help me.
  3. Morning, As the topic suggests, how do I get a G55(for example...) on just one operation that shares a workplane with another op? I've tried duplicating the plane to give it it's own offset but for some reason, the planes remain linked. If I change the output on one, every similar plane changes. If I add the offset to the planes page of the op, it changes globally as well. I feel this should be really simple, and I just can't find it! Jay
  4. I'm having trouble editing my post to give me a work offset call with a G90 A0. at the end of my program. This is where I am trying to put it in my post: peof$ #End of file for non-zero tool pretract comment$ if stagetool = 1 & stagetltype = 2, pbld, n$, *first_tool$, e$ n$, *sgcode, *sgabsinc, pwcs, "A0.", e$ <------- the line I have added. n$, "M30", e$ Not sure what I'm doing wrong to get a output of G54, G55, etc. This is what it is posting: G0 Z1.1 M9 G91 G28 Z0. M5 G28 Y0. G0 G90 A0. M30 % And this is what I want: G0 Z1.1 M9 G91 G28 Z0. M5 G28 Y0. G0 G90 G54(or whatever work offset program is using) A0. M30 % Thank you
  5. How do I keep the same work offset for all tool wend changing planes in 4 axis
