Utilizing external cutting tool database with NET-Hook

Recommended Posts

Objective:   Create a .TOOLS-7 library file consisting of one tool derived from a record of an external database.

Can a NET-HOOK be written to do this? I work in Visual Studio using VB.Net 2010 Professional edition. How can I access the MasterCam API and where can I get documentation? I am hoping that I can instantiate some tool object, set some properties, and create a .TOOLS-7 library file as opposed to writing a parsing program that would convert a database record into a text file that still would have to be converted into a library file.

In closing, how can I get started writing NET-HOOKS for MasterCam? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, JCDFCM

I have recently posted links to getting started with NET-Hooks and how to interact with a Tools database via a NET-Hook. A search on this forum should get you plenty of information.
