How did I miss that? Just too simple I guess.

I am trying to post a program with bar puller. But not getting correct code. If I take an old program with good bar puller code - delete all operations and geometry, re name file,
re-create geometry and toolpaths and run post I will get good code. I have checked file settings and as far as I can tell I am using the same files for both programs.
On converted program I do not add a bar puller operation, I just do a cutoff ooperation and it posts ok. On new program when I try to add a bar pull operation I get a
warning "Current post-processor does not support toolpaths generated by this function."
I would ask the programmer who made the original program (ya think?) but he is no longer here, so I have to work this out by myself.
Is there a different post he has hidden somewhere? Probably not, I just haven't the experience with lathes that I should have.
Any help will be helpfull.

You hit the nail on the head.
I have seen that in the chain manager, but have never looked into it. I went there and clicked on intersecting entities where change took place and there it was.
Depth, Step, -0.72 .

In linking parameters everything is checked absolute. All geometry is on Z 0.0. The first thing I did to check was to go to isometric and see if there was a line in Z. Nothing there.
WCS & T/CPlane are both in top. In level manager there are 93 entities on level 1. These are the only visible entities. There are 20 named levels. If I check "used" under list levels I see
level 3 with 450 entities, level 5 with 876 and level 7 with 918. None of these affect visible geometry when made "not visible". Only level 1 appears to have anything to do with tool paths.
In fact only 5 entities really affect this toolpath, the rest are just there for visual affect as the toolpath is transformed to make multiples.

I was asked to relocate the location of some parts on a large nested plate. No problem, but when I started looking at the toolpath I could not figure out how the previous
programmer did it. Simple 2D contour, no cutter comp. Tool ramps down to Z-.5625 then cuts circle - moves in X .225 and cuts another circle - moves in X .325 then drops
down to Z-.73 and cuts circle. How did he get it to move down to -.73? Depth in linking parameters is -.5625.

I tried to to do it by the book again. Started from scratch with new geometry. I still cannot get it to create the loft body or cut chaining the same direction. I tried clockwise and
counter clockwise, from the same relative point and from opposite sides, tried chaining bottom line first and top line first. No luck. But as soon as i chain opposite directions
it works. Both the body and the cut.
Every else works just like it should, just not the lofts.
What am I doing wrong?
Sharp as a marble here, checked settings>configuration>chaining. Reverse inner chains was checked, turned it off and everything works fine.

For a little background, I used MC for 5 years back in the mid 90s. Then managed for 17 years. Now I am getting back to programming again. I have a lot of re-learnng and catching up to do!

I am using X6 mill level 3 w/solids. The tutorials are in house solutions X6. Mill levels 1 & 3 means I have completed the entire book. The issue was with solids book tutorial #5.
I was able to finally complete the cut, but to do so I had to chain in opposite directions and on different sides of rectangles. On top chain I chained clockwise from top line, on bottom chain I chained counterclockwise from left line. The instructions say to chain both clockwise from the same side. Do I have some paramaters set wrong?

I have completed mill 1 and mill 3 tutorials, am on solid #5. Chaining elipses (create body) only worked when chaining bottom clockwise and chaining top counterclockwise!
I have tried all the options I can think of while chaining the rectangles to cut body, but all i get is PK error code 999 - geometry fails to pass checks. I have triied closing mastercam down & reloading file - not working. I have opened new file and only created the elipses and rectangles, still no joy. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Machine is a Haas ST30Y.
I found it in Lathe Cutoff - Toolpath Parameters - Misc. Values, turn off auto set to post values, turn on add bar pull to partoff and turn on parts catcher(Integers), Add distance, Z position and feed rates (Reals).
So easy I couldn't see it.
