Colin, Thank you.Hello Luke,
Please contact your Mastercam Reseller. They can get you an Okuma OSP post that would be a much better starting point, and most of the Okuma specific functions will already be done for you.
Best regards,
Colin

HTH,
Thank you for responding. I have not yet checked with my dealer. Maybe it is a route out. Thanks.

Can anyone help me out in the following three problems in editing a Mastercam post in this community please?
1. I am working on creating a new post for an Okuma lathe by editing a Fanuc post (simply because it is available to me) and getting to the hard part. In canned cycles, I could replace the G code, the P code, and the Q code in the canned rough cycle output to make it changed to
G85 NTRY U.1 U.02 W.01 F.01 G84
NTRY G81
N100 ...
...
The first U code is the depth of cut and supposed to be D in Okuma. This U for depth of cut can be found in the "Canned cycle output format" table in the post and I did have it changed to D. I also successfully had it output after the heading. It showed as a D for sure. However, in this rough cycle output line it still shows as a U .
2. In the above case, I found no place to remove the N100 in the third line which is what Okuma does not like.
3. In the threading output as shown below
G33 X1.7354 Z-2.9769 P1323 Q518 R0. E.22222
there is an E code. I guess it means a precise feed rate in Fanuc. But it is lead variation in Okuma. I therefore have to replace it with an F. However, I could not find any E in the "Thread output" table in the post and thus not able to replace it.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
