  1. Thanks for your help you guys! It makes sense now and you've both started me in the right direction. Scott
  2. Hello All, I have a 4340 steel part that I want to improve the speed of the operation and consolidate two operations on one setup. The spindle view of the part has the same/mirrored geometry as the bottom view (which is currently the 2nd operation). Both operations are loaded in an eight inch Kurt vise and use the same milling tools. I want to setup up two vises beside each other, one for the 1st operation and one for the 2nd operation on the table. I understand the use of G54 and G55 for the location of the vises, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to program the part in mastercam that shows both operations. I mentioned that the two operations use the same tools and I would like to prevent unnecessary tool changes. So for instance I would like to have tool #1 that is a facemill machine the area on the OP 1 vise(G54) and then move to OP 2(G55) before doing a tool change for the next tool. With each cycle end I would like to have a completed part come off the machine and have each tool complete the tool path for the 1st and 2nd operation before changing to the next tool. I know its possible, but I'm having trouble trying to figure it out. Any help is much appreciated!
