Solid depth detection via chook

Hello,

I have a request from a user to add depth detection to my automatic programming nethook pocket cutting function.My idea is that I could create offset contours inside of the boundary of the pocket then extrapolate some point positions from the new geometry and project those points against each surface in the solid, thus finding the highest point and defining that as the max z depth. I am interested if you have any better suggestions. Thanks in advance!
