3 Axis Rapid

Good Day,

 

I have posted a file 3_axis_rapid.zip

 

1 tool with 2 opps. between op1 and opp2

the rapid move has x/y/z ( position )

move which could cause a crash. I have

tried many combinations and I would

like an x/y rapid with the Z on the

next line...seems simple.

Would checking 'Clearance' on parameters page and entering .. say 5" give you enough clearance??

Does the XY rapid first before negative Z rapid. The Z positive rapids before XY.

I'm sorry, I don't see a 3 axis rapid move. With 'Clearance' in both ops checked and 5" entered the tool goes up 5" in Z - over to next XY position and down in Z to next start position. What am I missing?

I think Tony was just showing an easy example of paths with different rapid heights. The post mod above will make the Z-up rapids first or Z-down rapids after.

the mods uses the zinc variable, so it doesn't matter if it is in the positive or negative zone.

the default posts are set to output what you see in MC. So BerTau is right, if you set the clearance the same in both ops, it rapids XY then Z down, or Z up then XY. We are just cheating it in the post to make sure we always get that.
