Carbide Supplier

I know this has nothing to do with Mastercam but i am having problems in finding a good supplier in carbide.

The supplier I have in England is alway late with deliveries. 4 to 5 weeks late all the time.

I would be greatfull if any one can forward details of a good supplier anywhere in the world.

They actually make carbide tooling.

Their delivery has always been exceptional and their quality is superb. Prices are quite reasonable as well.

I am confused.

What sort of standard Carbide takes that long to deliver? In the UK I have 3 suppliers capable of delivering standard micrograin carbide cutters (flat/bull/ball) twice per day.

However, I mail order various different items from different suppliers. For example FHT in Southam, Warwickshire, UK have 3 different grades of Carbide tooling for sale 1) Europa - basic (made in Ireland!) 2) Tornado - as 1 but better carbide and Vital coated and 3) Depo - Superb stuff for 3D machining of Ti/M300/300M etc etc but pricey. Also recommended in the 'expensive' league are Hitatchi Epoch tools. I nearly always get next day delivery. If this is the kind of thing that you are after then e-mail me for various addresses.

Thanks for posting this one ruffmut! I also changed carbide suppliers to leech. I'm a machining instructor, but also have a small business where we resharpen and rebuild carbide tipped step core drills, and leech is gonna save us some $$!

I'm glad i was not the only the only person changing suppliers.

I have been on to leech carbide a few times and they are cheaper than my supplier in the UK.So hopefully they will stick to their delivery dates.
