How use AskForGeometry to select a surface with chook

I want to obtain the surface type and its geometry, but when use AskForGeometry funtion, the code break.

Here is the code:

GeometryMask geomMask(true);

geomMask.SetSurfaces(true);

auto spManager = GetSelectionManager();

IGeometrySPtr pGeometry;

spManager->AskForGeometry(L"Select Surfaces", geomMask, pGeometry); // crash here

if (pGeometry)

{

     int entityId = pGeometry->GetEntityID();

}

you are probably crashing because you are passing an uninitialized pointer to the function
