Custom Tools Verification in MM units

Hi friends

 

I try to verify CustomTools(Form Tool) opertion in Inch but unable to verify custom tools in MM unit.

 

I have read some where in old post that dia of custom tool shuld be 1 unit.

 

Any body give me any idea about this

There are two methods to defining a form tool in Mastercam. The method I prefer would be to draw the tool to the correct size, rather than to one unit. Then you save the tool to file or to a different level.

 

In your toolpath, choose to "Create New Tool". Choose the "?" tool profile, and then you can pick the level/file that contains your form tool. You also have to type in the correct diameter for the tool.

 

Make sure that in the Backplot or Verify settings, you set the tool profile is set to "As Defined" rather than "Auto"
