Whould anyone know how you could get the cimco editor,not to put N numbers on blank lines when renumbering????

If you go to Setup-Block Numbering the 'Renumber Empty Lines' box is probably checked

I've got 4.33.35 so I'm not sure what is there in yours; he is forever tweaking that editor. Methinks you can download the latest version somewhere; try here

Anyway , if you do not want to do it (no reason not to do it ,JMHO ),I have a solution for you ,

but I do not like to go into details ,I think do what Chris sais ,much better !

I'd like to hear your solution, because we are on a network and to get help from those who run that is like pulling teeth, so i'm stuck with ver 4.21.14

From the sounds of it, probably not. I would have to go back and install that older version to check - but know the latest ver. will solve your problem.

 

As suggested above, see if your IT Dept will download it for you, or give you the proper access required to d/l yourself. If not, I'll overnight you a CD and your problem will be solved.

 

(Of course, you will want access to continue to download the updates as they are made available. I'm sure if you keep asking IT to download the updates for you they will quickly figure out a way to get you the access you need.)

I was able to get it to work by putting cr in the "Skip line starting with" block under Setup, block numbers. Give it a try. HTH
