Can I load V9 as well.

If I buy a new seat of X, can I legally load V9 on my machine as well? We have many seats of Mastercam, so we have the V9 install disk. If we can legally load V9, does this also make it legal to use cimco edit?

As far as I know you certainly can. We are running both X and 9.1 here. No problems. Alot of the guys on this forum are doing the same.

You are legally allowed to run earlier versions of Mastercam as long as you have licensed Mcam X. They are installed in different directories. The issue then is whether you have a HASP 4 sim or HASP 3. Mcam X will not run on a HASP 3. To test the sim, go to Mcam Sim Swap form page and there will be a link to a Hasp Info program. This info program is very small but will tell you almost instantly if the sim on the computer is H3 or H4. If it's an H3, you will need to complete the Sim Swap form and input the sim # and ID code that was given to you from the info program. HTH
