4th axis rotation

[RACINGCONVERTERS]

I have a round part that has a 5/16" keyway and 90 degrees to the keyway a taper pin hole. I used top view and WCS to do the keyway. For the taper pin hole I made a copy of the front WCS and programed the hole in top view, but when I post I am not getting any "A" rotation. Can anyone get me pointed in the right direction?

Your WCS would stay top but your T/C place would need to be front to generate A axis motion

you need to have it in front or back view, if on a vertical with the indexer in the x axis

if you just copy top you wont get an index

I think all you need to do for that hole is to change your c/t plane to front ( hole is at 90 deg from top) and do a regular drill toolpath. Probably use incremental values.

yeah, leave the WCS in the position it's in on the machine, just change t/c planes for the diff. sides. that will get you A moves.
