Question about change recognition

I haven't used this feature yet, but could somebody tell me if this would work.

Will it keep track of the original file, where ever it may come from, but allow me to add/modify geometry in Mastercam for machining geometry. ex..if I need to create geo. for pockets or facing, etc...

I had a situation last week where the original SW model was changed and I wasn't told about it. Luckily something jumped out at me and I saw the difference before I ran the part. If I would have used change recognition, would it have caught that, or am I way off with my thinking.

This part I had the issue with was something before X2, so there was no change recognition, but in the future would this help the way I'm thinking it will.

Thank you,

Yes Keebler.

Prism has a real good demo of this function on CD that they will send you if you ask really really nice. It was part of the rollover training. Did you get missed. My boss made me go to the one in Baltimore instead of the one in Horsham. 1/2 day boondoggle instead of a full day with some overtime.
