Goooooooooooood Morning!

We received 2 models from a company. When I convert the Iges file I get a message......

Draft Message

Warning - Drafting entity contais forward pointer - Associativity removed.

I did a search on this forum and found a message from 2004 with the same problem but didn't get too much from it. The model looks ok..... will it be alright to toolpath?

Also when opening 1 of these models I got a message.......

Warning - Zero length spline

Any take on this? confused.gif

I am running Version 9.1 MR0105

Thanks,

Ruger2

The Draft message is in reference to a drafting dimension or something. Should not affect the actual model (wireframe and surfaces) at all.

The second one is something I get occasionally. Typically I ignore them. It is basically a calculated spline that is smaller than the tolerance of the conversion.

I generally make a solid from the surfaces and interrogate the solid to make sure all is well.

If you can't do that, and you need wireframe. I would suggest deleting the wireframe garbage that IGES typically gives you, then Create curve all edges all surfaces.
