o/t laser marking/printers

We are looking into purchasing a laser marking device. Logo's, part numbers etc. etc. Not crazy high quantities, a few thousands parts at a time.

 

Any recommended manufacturers?

What kind of parts? What material?

We have a Trotec laser engraver X=26" x Y=17". It has an option for a rotary device (which we don't have). It's a CO² laser & doesn't put a mark on non-ferrous metals. On other metals it barely works. We use it for plastics of all types. It can be used with Autocad or Corel Draw type of software. Probably others too because once your file is made, you just literally PRINT to the laser & the print driver app opens to select other details. Check out the website. It's not that accurate. It loses .001" for every inch away from machine zero.

Aluminum post annodizing, stainless, and some plastic (UHMW). Small-ish parts, 8" dia. max.
