Post Update

I have just acquired an old Makino V55 post MPFAN16M and have been told to run the post through an update. How do I do this?

in X2, go to Settings, Run User Application, and select the file UpdatePST.dll.

settings >> run user application >> pick the "UPDATEPOST.dll"

 

It will ask you where the post is that you wish to update and which version,

 

Make sure the post ands the .txt file are in the same directory before you start

BTW John I am running a dual partition like you and have SW2008 SP3.0 and MC X2 MR2 SP1 on Vista Home similar to you. The Solidworks is acting a bit buggy though. Sometimes it will take a couple opens before it runs. What's your experience?

I only have SW installed on the XP Pro side, I have heard there are some issues on the x64 bit stuff so I keep the CAD/CAM stuff off of that side except for MCAM for testing purposes.

 

I would move to Vista IF the CAD/CAM stuff ran well , it does not at this point however.
