Graphics Question

Hi ya,

 

After quite a bit of research on here I decided to upgrade my graphics card to a Quadro fx1700 yesterday. The card I had was a relatively cheap one and on certain applications my second monitor would fade, so I got me a new card.

After installing it and setting up the fading has stopped so I was chuffed...However in mastercam now when I verify if I scroll the middle mouse button to zoom in and out it flickers between the stock block and the actual CAD model. And it seems like mastercam has slowed down when I open up existing files.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Or does anyone know a cure?

Could it be my PC (2 years old now) can't support the card or possibly be a set up issue.

 

Any help would be grateful.

See the last post in the thread by gcode. It worked for me.

 

Suggest also deinstall the previous drivers, reboot, then use the latest availabe from the Nvidia web site.

Thanks for that mate, I did what the link suggested and it seems to be fine now.

Although I can't see a big improvement so far with the card, only the screen not fading.
