.ocx files are ActiveX files, which usually reside in the Windows folder.

If he loaded Mastercam from a network drive then he probably does not have the necessary Windows components installed on his PC, he should install all updates from Microsoft that are listed as critical, and the newest .NET Framework version.

JayMan,

Do you have EDIT selected for the NC file that is being created when you're posting?

If so try this... Uncheck the Edit NC option.

Does that make a difference?

This is a trick question, as I know it will. wink.gif

The (Mastercam) Editor is not finding a required component.

That file (on my system) is located here ->

C:Program FilesCodejock SoftwareActiveXXtreme Suite Pro ActiveX v9.60binCodejock.DockingPane.9601.ocx

The install would have installed this required file.

To get around this issue, you can either;

*Do a "proper" install of Mastercam.

or

*Change the editor being used.

System, Config, Start/Exit page, in the lower-left you'll see 'Editor'. Change it from 'Mastercam' to something else, such as 'Cimco'.

This happened to me not to long ago. After a call to my reseller, the solution was to unregister, and then re-resister the file. Do this by running regsvr32-u(path and filename, then run regsvr32 (path and file name), from the run command in start menu of windows. HTH, Jeff
