I would think almost everyone would agree with Dave. Even if you are using new cutters if the machine isn't perfect (has any slack at all) you have to adjust your wear offset. I wouldn't program any finishing without it. Kinda sucks there's no wear offset on surfacing or hst paths. Had to do some work arounds today instead of using a simple flowline or contour path. If you'd research using offsets a little bit it's very easy. If part comes out small enter 1/2 that amount into your wear offset. That's literally all the operator has to do. Just as easy as setting your tool length offset at the machine so your operator shouldn't have much trouble with it. IMO
