Welcome to the Instructor forum. biggrin.gif I haven't worked with carbon fiber before. Perhaps if you asked this same question on the main user forum, you may get a better response. I did work with carbon plates before and that stuff was very abrasive. Even with Carbide steel tools, the material ended up being "rubbed" away instead of cut. Our spindle speed was too slow to get any accurate cutting done. Once this was realized, we adjusted our feedrates to accomodate the slower spindle speed. That meant running at a slower feed if it was something critical. HTH cheers.gif
