how to create solid from surface in v9

anyone pls tell me how to create solid from surface and how to change the colour for it. i can get the solid from surface,but it is always hyaloid

You can save the solid on a different level when it asks you, and if you change the color before you create it from surfaces, then it will be the new color.

Just a tip,

When you create solid from surf and Mastercam ask you if you want to "create curve on open edges", it meen your surf model have a missing or bad surface.

What I do: At the question, I click Yes and change the current color to a color not used in my drawing(ei:red). After, I delete the solid, Alt-E, select All color (ei:red),done. Now I know exactly where the problem is. So I create a new surf with theses curves and redo solid from surf...
