flowline error

I'm getting an error while trying to machine a surface, "Warning, error opening C:mcam9tempflowit2.tmp"

Looked in the temp folder and sure enough, there is no such file. Anybody got any idea what this error means and how to fix it?

are you sure you have write permissions on that folder, or are the properties set to Read Only?

Near as I can tell I have write priveliges for that folder. I just upgraded to Win 2000 Pro so I'm kinda unfamiliar with it. I have a flowit.tmp sized 0kb in that directory but not a flowit2.tmp

share the surface that is giving you trouble to see if charles or me have the same trouble with that surface.

I put it on the FTP site in the MC9 folder as surface_prob.mc9

Mark C I made a project blend surface path that is just like a flowline but better.

I uploaded it to the FTP under your name and added cadcam.

I will still look at the other way.

ok I have shanged the surfaces into a solid sheet and it works great.

 

Now I am going to make new surfaces from the solid and try it again with the new surfaces .

I will be right back.

there had to be some type of truoble with the first surfaces.

Yes, please Jayson. I would like it. I'm still learning 3D. I do it so infrequently that I kinda have to relearn it every time I do it. It will be useful to see other ways of doing something.

I've found other problems with the goemetry on this part. It came as a solid from our customer and I imported it as an IPT file.

Mark there are to file one with the new surfaces and one with the other surface program type.

 

they are your file name with the new added to them being CADCAM,CADCAM2
