Launching Chook from Misc Values button

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We are in the process re-desigining the launching of a Chook from the Misc. button because it is no longer a button, its an entry in a tree control (for HST now and for other toolpaths in the future). The question I have to Mill users is this. How many people use the ability to launch a chook using the Misc button? And briefly what are you doing with it?

We know it is used in Wire a lot we are just trying to get a feel for the number of Mill users who need this and for what, so that we can make it work correctly the first time.

Thanks

Hi

I've never used the ability to launch a chook using the Misc button.

but we have a plan to create a chook which have list control to show/change all operation's misc values etc.

we use misc values for a lathe post-processor which have two turrets.

to define which operation uses which turret, we need list control chook.

It may be good if there is a "launch chook" button on Misc values page of toolpath dialog.

Hi,

We use the Misc Values button to launch our robot parameter dialog. We do this for Mill and Router. Why we use the Misc values button is because the parameters are operation specific and some of the parameters are saved to the operations via the misc values and some are saved globally.

I did notice that when I change the Misc values button text label in Control Definition it does not always work. At times it will not keep the new text value and display Misc values instead of the text we had specified.

If you would like, I can send you a copy of our chook.

Thanks,

Chahe
