Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have created a new tool bar & added Checkholder chook in that, as it is not available with default mastercam chooks' list in the category.

the icon in the toolbar simply shows "X" symbol.

To add a Chook to a toolbar you must have a proper FT (Function Table) file in the CHOOKS folder.

For example:

If you create this SilhouetteBoundary.FT file and place in the the CHOOKS folder (along with the SilhouetteBoundary.DLL). When you start (or restart) Mastercam X2, and go into the Settings-Customize, then select the Category "Mastercam C-Hooks", you will see the icon for this CHook and when you hover the mouse on it, it will display the "Create SilhouetteBoundary Boundary" tooltip.

-------------------------------->>>>

#--------------------------------

# SilhouetteBoundary.FT file

#--------------------------------

CATEGORY "Mastercam C-Hooks"

APPLICATION "SilhouetteBoundary"

FUNC_DLL "chooksSilhouetteBoundary.dll"

RES_DLL "chooksSilhouetteBoundary.dll"

FUNCTION CPP "m_main"

SBMP 800

LBMP 801

TIP 1

END_FUNCTION

#--------------------------------

To determine what the IDs of the 'SBMP' (Small icon bitmap) and 'LBMP' (Large icon bitmap) and 'Tip' (ToolTip string) are I used Resource Tuner
