  1. I tried the same toolpath with a round radius cutter having .12" width instead of .46" and it worked well. Now trying to generate the same toolpath with my old cutter, adjusting the parameters, but everytime "Mastercam crash report" wins.
  2. Yep..pls find the attached. I have deleted all other toolpaths and models to reduce the file size. T-Slot_Undercut.zip
  3. Hello Everyone, I want to mill an undercut profile on a cylinder. I am using a T-Slot cutter (dia 6") and Surface finish contour toolpath combination but Mastercam doesn't create the toolpath, instead it crashes everytime when I regenerate. I am using X4 MU3 and even I tried with X5 but no luck. Please see the attached picture for details. Any help is much appreciated. Thank You, Sunder.
  4. I am doing programming in Mastercam X4 for a slant faced part which is going to be cut in a Makino HMC with a indexing tombstone. The part is loaded vertically on the tombstone and the slant face goes to the top. Instead of machining the slant face in a different setting, if I rotate the tombstone the slant face will be compensated and I can machine the face as a vertical wall... part file attached... I have calculated the angle to be rotated and created a WCS for that angle. After creating the toolpath with the new WCS, the solid verification in Mastercam cuts the part exactly as required. But when I do NC code verification with in Vericut software there is .025" stock left on the face. I am not able to understand why this happens...I have checked the offsets, tool dia, stock to leave, measured the toolpath, and so on, but still the problem persists. If someone has already done these types of jobs, please suggest me the way to identify the angle of rotation and how to create the curve on the face... Thanks... SLANT_FACE.zip
  5. "PROPAGATE......" It works!!! Thank you Roger.
  6. Hi, I have my *.Control file to set some MI and MR values automatically for all the toolpaths. If I have to change any one value (depends on the part model) for all the toolpaths, I have to open the parameters of all the toolpaths and change it manually. This seems to be a time consuming process.Even I am unable to use the "edit selected operations" > "edit common parameters", since it changes my default values from the control definition file. Can someone help me in setting the misc values for the selected operations by a VB script. Thanks...
  7. Ashan, You mean to say Windows Directory? Since I am using a 19" LCD Monitor and file is located deep into network drives, I am unable to see the file name on the top of the screen when I am working on that file.
  8. Hello there, I want Mastercam to display only the file name instead of the whole path in the main screen display on the top of the screen. Can we customize this setting? thanks in advance - Sunder.

Will X3 have the integration of solid verify and machine simulation?
  10. this serves good www.nctech.in
  11. yes..thank you axela 06 & mcpgmr... got fixed that one...
  12. Dear All, I did some modifications to a 2X lathe Fanuc post and got hold of this problem. MC splits my NC output in to two files. when I click G1 for posting mcam gives one nc program and when i come back to mastercam screen I can see one more file save dialog box. Now I am getting two programs as the splitting happens as below picture. how can i stop this splitting? thanks n advance regards Sunder
  13. i tried in Cimco also. but i am afraid whether cimco considers the WHILE loops. WHILE[#100GT#101]DO1 #100=#100-#102
  14. Cobra is correct.. I dont have the mastercam files for these programs and these nc codes were written manually.
  15. Hello All, I remember in V8 we have a reverse post option.. I would like to know whether any equivalent option is available in X series. or Is there any option available to calculate the cycle time for manually generated CNC programs in MC
