indexable drills

We are getting a mori mill/turn in a week or so. We purchased ER40 collet tool holders for our live tooling. Unfortunatley we drill some holes that are over 1.0" in dia. and the collets only accept shank dia. no more than 1.0". So my question is do you guys know of any manufactures that make a good variety of indexable drills over 1.0" with a 1.0" shank or any other options we might have. Thanks

i don't know for the drills , but be sure that your m-tool motor can handle bigger drills and/or harder materials

Ok, yea its only 7.5 hp but were mainly just looking for drills that are in the range of 1-1/16 to around 1-3/8. Thanks for the heads up

We use Mitsubishi and Sandvik. Never had a problem with either and both have the reduced shanks.

Do you know what kind of sandvik drills you use? I am looking through the sandvik book and the 1.063" drill is a 1.25" shank. Thanks

Steve I checked the drills and they are the same as what you are finding sorry for misleading you and I guess I have some tools in my library to update.

Its no problem thanks for checking. I looked at just about every manufacture I could think of and didnt find one. We will just turn down the shank. Thanks again

Not sure if I am too late or not. But Kennametal makes a 1.025". Not sure if that really makes that big of a difference but it has a 1" shank on it.
