Missing art C-Hook

I got the pdf for the art tutorial from this site and I am working my way through it. When I attempted to program the first tutorial I got an error that says "Incompatible c-hooks internal version number. recompile and relink the C hook c:\program files\mcamx5\apps\art machine.dll". I think that I may not completely understand what a c-hook is. Regardless, do I need to re-install the art package or what can i do to get this to work? I thought it may be a problem that I am using a router not a mill? The art package is awesome but its being a pain in the xxxx to get up and running!
