Cimco problem

That's auto-change-detection. If you have a file open, and another process opens it and chagnes it, the editor can see that and asks you to reload with new updats. Many editors do this. There is likely an option in there somewhere to disable file changes detection.

I have had this exact problem and Cimco tried to deal with it in my instance and could not. The problem is one of two things (probably):

1) Someone else (or you) actually modified your file outside of your Cimco session while you were looking at it (this happens often if you look at a posted file, figure out something you screwed up, and re-post with the editor still open).

or, (my problem)

2) Your file is on a network and when YOU save it Cimco gets crossed up and thinks someone else did (my local guys said it was a network-speed problem). In this case you need to go Setup-Editor-General and uncheck the "Check External Changes" box.

This was the only way I could fix mine, they were working on it last I heard but we've tested a couple of new builds and no change.

This is probably the problem area.

Chris,

I took the easy way out and simply disabled the Check external changes option as had been sugested by a few.
