Tool number sequence

I'm having problems renumbering my tools. Using "edit selected operation / renumber tools", I try to renumber all the tools in the toolpath group and some of the tools are renumbering per operation instead of per tool change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're getting additional tool numbers on tools that already exist, you likely have multiple copies of the same tool.

 

Go into the tool manager and check to make sure you don't have the same tool listed several times. If you do, delete the copies and reassociate the tool paths with the remaining tool

 

I have seen this issue A LOT with the tool manager bug, you have to repick tools and the system makes new tools. SO I have to go through and remove the copies. I do it 1 tool at a time so when the paths go dirty I know exactly which tool I should be repicking

Thanks Mr. J, I went in this am and manually (dragged and dropped) to correct. Will now go into the tool manager and do as you suggest.
