Variable for I/O setting for Fanuc 16i control

Guys, is there a variable number attached to the I/O? I'm scouring manuals now but to no avail. Basically I'm trying to mistake-proof a program to set to the card (channel 4) before running a series of DPRNT commands and then even set it back to original once completed.

Yes it is possible to write those parameters. You'll need to know the parameter number though.

 

Here's a program to change the comunication channel from 5 to 4, run from the Card, change back from 4 to 5.
