Dust Collection for Routing of ABS plastic/MDF boards

We just purchased a CNC Router and are looking to buy a Dust Collector unit for it.

Our applications will be to Rout ¼” ABS plastic and possibly MDF ¾” boards as well.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what kind of Dust Collector to purchase; Horse Power? CFM? Etc?

I would recommend looking at Oneida Air Systems. There is a lot that goes into the correct decision for which system to buy. Inside or outside unit. Size. CFM and horse power. These guys can help you navigate the questions and decision process. There are other companies to choose from but these guys are informative and have a ton of useful information to consider. They will answer any questions that you have and help you choose or design the appropriate system. By the way...I like the system in the link very well and I have used their systems in a couple of places that I have worked in the past.

I'm glad to recommend you Horsepower dust collector. I'm still happy to use it and it really worth that. I bought it on amazon (you can check it out: Shop Fox W1685 1,5-Horsepower 1,280 CFM Dust Collector). It's powerful enough and it also has excellent noise level. By the way, a good variant for machines that generate medium size chips.
