Anyone have any experience using DeBoer T-Mill endmills, are they any good?

Hey there have you used them on 4140 or a-2 tool steel and what kind of speeds ans feeds are you running them at ?

Looking for a good endmill to run some Dynamic tool paths for roughing .

Haven't had the best life with them in steels, use their Xmills for that.

Do you know a place that pays a decent price for scrap carbide?

Sandvik. With scrap prices the way they are I'll be hoarding mine for a few years longer.

I was using Deboer for manual work at home on my machines , but as stated they are not the best on steel .

 

I have noticed the cutting edge breaks down and the corners are always chipping , switched to a no name house brand thru a local supplier and really like them .

 

So far none issues on 1045 PTG shafting .
