New Member from FL with MC9 HLE question.

Hey every one, New member from FL. I am a machinist of over twenty years have some cnc and various software experience. My first question is. I'm interested in learning Mastercam and I understand that I will have to make a purchase before I have access to any downloads,which is OK. Once pre reqisite purchase is made and I download X9 HLE will I have full use without any other requirements. Also is there a trial period I need to be aware of.

You can use HLE to your hearts desire. It will not post code but you can get valuable experience. You do not have to buy it. Resellers will even send you a CD. I recommend hitting up YouTube and play a little before you buy courses. The owners of this forum, In-House make good training material. You can also look for streaming teacher and eapprintice. A little Google-fu may get more than waiting on some one to do it for you.

Thanks for your reply.  Sorry,didn't mean to  be impatient. I guess I'm used to more active forums. I have watched a few  you tube tutorial videos. Very helpful.

My apologies for not responding sooner. As jlw said the HLE cannot generate code but you can still use all of the geometry creation functions, create toolpaths, use backplot & verify, etc. All versions of the HLE will expire approximately 2 years after that version of the software has been released. X9 will expire in July of 2017, but by then the Mastercam 2017 HLE will be released and you'll be able to download it as well as long as you still have access to the account that purchased from us.

Thank You.  At the shop i'm currently working at we run another software but I like to hone my  

MC skills as much as possible in my off hours. 

 

Never know when you may be called on again to work with the software.
