rapid moves in verify

hello all!!

using the true solid mode in verify, does this check the rapid moves, as well as the area's the tool is feeding. i just finished cutting a part and found there was a small gouge in one of the surfaces. i was using the scallop finish cut, and in verify it shows no gouges, but there is no denying there is one in the program. it makes me wonder if i have a problem with my post, or there is something the verify isn't seeing.

Sounds like something in the post.

Both backplot and verify look at the .nci file (or at least they used to, they may be looking at the toolpath part of the .mc8 file now). In either case, they don't verify the G-code file.

j.taylor if you want i may have a little time to check your gcode for you .

is this a mold part?

you would need to send me the gcode stock size and tools.

then i can tell you what line in the program that is causeing this gouge.

and send you the info along with a pretty picture.

but still did not get the gcode. sorry
