home edition wont install

I bought a tech pub from amazon for master cam x8. I went to install the home edition from the disc provided with the book and it failed to install because it could not find a "resource library". Can I get an new install online? Or a replacement disc? This is a purchase made in July of 2017.

Hello,

unfortunately, the Mastercam X8 demo software expired at the end of July. CNC Software, the creators of Mastercam, designed the free demo software to expire roughly 2 years after that software had been released for sale. We don't have any control over the software expiration date, we're just allowed to distribute free copies of it with our books. The copy of the book you had is likely a student reselling their material as we don't sell our books on Amazon.com, only on Amazon.ca and everything older than 2017 was removed earlier this year.

However, you can download the 2017 or 2018 versions of the HLE here: https://www.emastercam.com/files/category/29-mastercam-demo-software/ The interface is dramatically different from X8, however.
