We recommend all of our customer to get in touch with Jim Varco.
We endorse him because he has an excellent product. We get no commission for anything he does and have bought many seat for our own use. We have helped him do work with SpaceX that is using his reports.
These reports are top notch!

They're not cheap, but they worked well for the jobs we needed them for.
Like $300-600 for a 1/4-20, depending on whether you want standard or "hi-resolution"
I wouldn't want to buy a whole cabinet full of them but fortunately we are limited on the threads we produce.

I haven't put a Haas Lathe in a shop in quite some time, the last was a DS-30 and I could talk about the horror stories with that thing for days.
With that being said, I was just on the verge of purchasing a ST-35Y. We currently have one Haas VF-2 from 2017 and it is a pretty decent little machine. The rest of our equipment is Okuma and OKK. None of our machinists have used a Haas lathe but they like the mill and I like the price point, but after reading this thread I may rethink this based on the noise. My Okuma MCR doesn't make that much noise all day!
Question is does anyone have any experience with a newer ST-35? Would you agree that this will effect the whole ST line?
Thanks.

Those Leitech gages look like a game-changer! I had not heard of them until this thread, thank you. ( No pun intended...)

Mastercam for Solidworks Usage
in Industrial Forum
Posted
Hello,
I wanted to get some opinions on Mastercam for Solidworks. I have used MC pretty regularly for around 15 years but have never used MC4SW. After doing a two year contract and using NX daily, I like the integration for my workflow. I am proficient in SW and MC so no issue there, just wanted to hear what anyone has to say about it. Limitations or any input really is much appreciated.
