I am teaching a design course at the high school level using MasterCam 9, level 3. A student was trying to extend a graphic he planned to incorporate into a business sign. Well, I tried all I could to help him, visited the help site and decided to ask here as well. At the point where the command is to "select a surface" I do so but get the reply, "try again" everytime. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

I use Mastercam Mill Version 8 in my building shop with a Techno Isel 5 X 9 table and a 5 H.P. Colombo router. It's a nice set-up and perhaps next year I will teach a 3 credit course devoted solely to MasterCam programming. In the meantime we keep working out the bugs which brings me to my question. A students writes a proram that I know will work He/she loads it onto a floppy which would be loaded into our "server" computer. We are not networked. I wanted to make some changes to the program after the student had gone to a different class. And I keep running into the command, "Unable to read program. Use MC8 file converter" So I do but everything I do leads back to the previous command. What am I missing or not doing correctly. Thank you in advance. Gord
