  1. After posting the message I took another look and found the Master Cam editor which I never use. I always use the Cimco editor. The MC editor does exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the quick response. This forum is so cool. I rarely have the time to post but I really benefit from those who do.

    Thanks

  2. Does, anyone know of an editor that can shift let say all Z axis values by set distance. I realize that I could repost but I have done alot of editing to get a program to work the way I need it. The next batch of parts have the same detail at the bottom but are much shorter. I thought I could mass substitute the Z's and cut off the begginning part of pgm. I know it sounds convoluted but I think if I had the right editor it would work.

    Thanks

  3. We have 5 Fadals the newest being a 65x35 with scales, the oldest is 8 years old no scales (40x 20)

The problem seems to occur on all machines, leading me to believe it is a post issue not the machine. Admitedly I'm not well versed in post code. But I don't believe my post has all the same info that was given by millman. I can't find the "atol" value. Do I need to add these lines to the post?

  4. Thanks for the responses. We are running ver. 9.1 SP2. I tried alterng the post by changing to full arc output and all planes on helical arc support. In addition I added the helix tolerance of .0006". The program still brought up the helical move to short alarm. The problem is that you don't know if the error will occur at the beginning middle or end of the program and it becomes so time consuming. I thought I may try playing with the tolerance a bit more. Any other input is appreciated. For what it's worth We get the error on the FAdals whether they have glass scales or not. The machine I ran this test on does not have them and is running system 97.1 software.

  5. We ran into this problem also. The ver9. cimco editor was set-up to run for 30 days on wink.gif a computer not having the sim. The solution we used was taking the editor from the version 8 software and everyones happy again. Obviously we are running the ver 9 editor on the system with the sim.

  6. I would like some input on MC Solids. Generally speaking we recieve our models from our customers so we don't create them from scratch, as a rule. We are trying to determine what benefits solids would provide. Primarily are there any benifits at all for creating tool paths?

  7. Can anyone help me with the Ford Motor Company Logo in Script. Our Customer needs this to be added to there mold ASAP. I thought someone might have already developed Geometry. Any help would be appreciated.

  8. Could someone give detailed instructions on how to download from the FTP site.I have yet to do this. I would like to download the Fadal subroutine post. I rarely have time to post on the Forum but must say the comments and insights have been invaluable.

  9. In version 7.2 I have no trouble creating a 2d toolpath and projecting that toolpath onto a surface while adding depth cuts. In version 8.0 While projecting lettering onto a surface the cutter often will stay down between letters therefore creating an unacceptable toolpath. Also the NCI selection only makes available those toolpaths currently in the operations manager. Version 7.2 allowed you to look in the NCI directory to find the toolpath desired. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Should I be doing something different?

  10. I would like to use the cimco editor as my default. I changed it to be my default editor under the configuration page and it shows as the editor when I go back into that configuration. But when I go to File, edit, NC it always defauts to the pfe 32 editor. Does anyone know how to fix this.
