  1. Ron,

I am doing this through the MBD tab in the OP Manager.

I uncheck, click OK, then if at any point I shut down Mastercam, when it re-opens it is checked off again.

I do have admin rights, I have full control

Here's a funny this I just noticed this morning.

I opened Mastercam, no WCS Gnomon BUT it is still checked on i the preferences

    Weird happenings

  2. "carbon steels"

Well, that does open up a world of different possibilities.

    So I'll be very general

I will typically helix entry 75-80% of my feed rate generally at a 2 degree. Now you're tool choice and exact metal being cut will determine much more of the exact cutting conditions.

On those occasions where I just cannot fit a helix in, I will ramp, again at a 2 degree zig and zag.

  3. Was sent a pic of my new work area, starting a new job in a week, leaving my current and sitting there on my new desk, as I ordered is a Space Pilot Pro.

I have not had one of some variation, from Spaceball to this newest one since I was working in V9 Mastercam

It's like American Express, "Don't leave home without it" :)

  4. I actually only turn off the middle one.

I am thinking, he needs to keep hitting F9 to bring up his origin lines

If that's the case, in the config on....

Screen >> check Display part Information, that will turn on the origin lines with every part you create

  5. Yes I checked that one, actually that is the thread I found to find this forum, and our HASP was running, as far as the PC and Sentinel were concerned as well as we had the 6.50 drivers and not the 6.55.

One thing I did find out, and I am new to how the HSP works with MasterCam so bear with me, is that it is out of date and we are getting new codes for it to allow master cam to run while our licensing is being sorted out. It would seem that this is not the issue since to update the Hasp I need to be able to see it though HASP X and I do not thus it would not update regardless of the code being outdated. Is this correct?

Again I can see the HASP through Internet Explorer and Port 1947 and it appears to be running there as well as in Device Manager.

IIRC, if you were on a temp code, I think it shuts down.

Your reseller is going to be your best I think

  6. I feel that solid chaining in lathe is really only good for the most simplistic geometry.

    Beyond that it falls down.

I have always just relied on chaining in lathe because it gives me much greater flexibility and toolpath control
