Yup, the Verisurf WCS gnomon.
I set it off, shut down, restart it's back on again
-
Is anyone esle having an issue with the new one.
I turn off the WCS and every time I restart Mastercam it is turned back on, the setting won't stick to keep it off
-
Typcially I keep the speed the same as that is tied to the SFM to you machine the material.
But lowering the feed rate decreases the chip load
-
"carbon steels"
Well, that does open up a world of different possibilities.
So I'll be very general
I will typically helix entry 75-80% of my feed rate generally at a 2 degree. Now you're tool choice and exact metal being cut will determine much more of the exact cutting conditions.
On those occasions where I just cannot fit a helix in, I will ramp, again at a 2 degree zig and zag.

Is any of those tool paths being cut on splines?
I have seen a similar issue at times when cutting splines, either a tool path filter or simplifying the geometry can usually clear it up

Turn off N number output in the control def
Then in the post on the tool change line add * before the n
pbld, *n$, t$, "M6", e$
That will force it out ONLY on tool change lines

Was sent a pic of my new work area, starting a new job in a week, leaving my current and sitting there on my new desk, as I ordered is a Space Pilot Pro.
I have not had one of some variation, from Spaceball to this newest one since I was working in V9 Mastercam
It's like American Express, "Don't leave home without it"

Didn't read the FAQ, eh?

Make sure you're running X6 MU3 on all seats, as I remember, this was a bug in X6
-
You know what, RIF
I should have read that completely,
You are quite correct Jay
-
I actually only turn off the middle one.
I am thinking, he needs to keep hitting F9 to bring up his origin lines
If that's the case, in the config on....
Screen >> check Display part Information, that will turn on the origin lines with every part you create
-
Oh yeah, you HAVE to love the Waspalloys, Rene's and other such incarnations
-
You will measure tool life cutting inco, especially the 718 variety, in minutes
Hopefully, who ever quote the job knew that

I am going to to a shop that "had" a CTX, he was extremely happy when they dumped it and bought something else....
I personally have zero experience, other than writing a post for one but he was the owner and hated the thing.

You also must have "Helix Support" checked in your control def as well
-
Since MCAM can't take advantage of nearly a decade old technology(SLI), I would be VERY doubtful
-
You should be able to save it, the license keyfile, to your desktop and simply double click it, it "should" update your HASP
-
Yes I checked that one, actually that is the thread I found to find this forum, and our HASP was running, as far as the PC and Sentinel were concerned as well as we had the 6.50 drivers and not the 6.55.
One thing I did find out, and I am new to how the HSP works with MasterCam so bear with me, is that it is out of date and we are getting new codes for it to allow master cam to run while our licensing is being sorted out. It would seem that this is not the issue since to update the Hasp I need to be able to see it though HASP X and I do not thus it would not update regardless of the code being outdated. Is this correct?
Again I can see the HASP through Internet Explorer and Port 1947 and it appears to be running there as well as in Device Manager.
IIRC, if you were on a temp code, I think it shuts down.
Your reseller is going to be your best I think

Will that hasp work on another system?
-
Can the box that won't connect ping the Server successfully?
Is your nethasp.ini configed to read the server?

I feel that solid chaining in lathe is really only good for the most simplistic geometry.
Beyond that it falls down.
I have always just relied on chaining in lathe because it gives me much greater flexibility and toolpath control

Here's a video Jay did if you're unsure on using the WCS system

Ron,
I am doing this through the MBD tab in the OP Manager.
I uncheck, click OK, then if at any point I shut down Mastercam, when it re-opens it is checked off again.
I do have admin rights, I have full control
Here's a funny this I just noticed this morning.
I opened Mastercam, no WCS Gnomon BUT it is still checked on i the preferences
Weird happenings
