    BenzB,

If you are using Win7 try changing the "Buffer - flipping mode" to "Use Block Transfer" in the NVIDIA 3d settings.

    https://kb.mastercam.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50453.aspx

It should be noted that this setting should only be modified if you are experiencing the theme being changed (this feature isn't supported and is a defect with the NVIDIA drivers for Win7)

This worked for me also. Thanks for the info.

  2. Man, I just can't believe I'm that dumb today. I always leave it set for computer and for some reason that's what I thouht I was doing,...and believe me I know the difference...what the he77 was I thinking all day...I need a beer...is it time to go home yet?!!

Have a good weekend guys, I'm gonna hang my head and shame and exit stage left. :(

  3. My bad, that's where I f'd up, I thouht it said computer,.....I'm an idot....well, good thing it's near the end of the day cause it's been a long week, I should have looked at it more closely, thanks G. any chance you can delete the thread, lol

P.S. There's probably someone at CNC's QC shakin thier head and saying "what a xxxx" or they're all sittin' around having a good group laugh,

  4. Does your control normally run code like this properly??

Yup for the past 9-3/4 yrs it has, I'll have to go back and look at some actual code from previous versions but never ever had a problem before doing it like I have been. Thanks for the tip about the verify too. Can you explain the backlot issue? Is it the lead in set to tangent and no line deal?

It would need to be set to Computer to have no diameter comp in the posted code.

That's the thing, it was set to Computer, that's what I'm saying.

thanks folks, hope qc gets back to me.

oh, and by the way, It's a Fadal (don't say it I know) with 88HS set to Format 1

  5. I already sent this ti QC and haven't heard back yet but here is the deal. I'm milling a prototyp out of modulon, do this all the time, I leave tabs on the part so when I flip it over its held secure. Everything went fine until the part of the program where i contour around the part and leave the tabs there. It cut into the part by have the cutter diameter with no offet (see Coilblock-error2-10-11-002). I had offest set for Control and verify was good (see attached pic of settings and verify). Now backplot was different (see Coilblock-error2-10-11). It shows a line in perpendicular to radius an a some radius. Look at my settings for leadin/out. Yeah, no line, and .1375 rad. This worries me. Back to X4 for now I guess. Anyone else scene anything like this. Oh yeah, heres a snipet of the code where it shut of the offset, which shouldn't have been on in the first place.????

  6. Hey Rick,

What OS are you running? My wire guy is having a similar problem but what worked for you ain't working for him.

He's done a "save as" with the default config in X5, pointed to it and it still won't work right. Were you using an old config merged into X5, or did you rename it? We've unistalled at least twice and still same shazzille :(

He's got XP 32bit OS. My Win7 64 bit has no issue.

  7. Hey Larry,

Things are good here. How's things in Sunrise? If ya see Wasko, tell him I said hi,...Dempsey too if he's still there.

Like I said, I'm running Win 7 on my workstation here and haven't seen many problems at all, so far.... [knocks on wood]. You may want to try running in XP compatable mode and see what that does.

  8. It took us 6 months to find a moldmaker/toolmaker but we finally did. e interviewed guys from the midwest but fortunately found someone local. There is talent down here...just most of them are working in good companies already and you're not going to "unseat" them very easily, especially the more advanced help. We got lucky. Now on the lower side of the scale, I have to agree with what some of the others said. There's not alot of shops around like there use to be. Use alot more mold shops. Gone. Now alot of smaller shops are struggling. A lot of guys moved north to the Carolinas too. Good luck, and if I hear of anyone looking, I'll let you know.

Even if it's an American product I believe there are laws about county of production and therefore why they are requiring this.

Yeah, we had some training on it here. Can't remember some of the exact details but there are laws that say a product/part has to be labeled with country of origin and it it's an assembly, there is a percentage of it that has to be made here and assembled here before it can say "Made in USA". It's not just a vachina thing though, it's EU, Messico, Tiawan, etc., etc., Something to do with WTO and Global Trade Compliance. Gotta keep the regulators employed, don'tcha know.

    Yes I do say so.

Kind of hard to do FBM Drill on a non solid and one day FBM Drill in Mastercam will be the way to go.

Yeah...cause only a useless hack would have to use FBM...I have no use for it and think it was a waste of CNC Softwares time and effort to develope it....but that's just my opinion.

I've wasted enough time getting sucked into your bs trolling here so I'm out. Bottom line...you're a hack, a troll and need to get a life...good day sir!
