Thank all of you for the prompt responses. Since I know I can get help here, I will be posting and reading more. AS for my problem, I solved it. One of my students dropped a 3', 3/4" dowel rod under the table and left it. So when the bottom of the router track bar under the table hit the rod, it acted like a limit switch, thus stopping the machine. I should have checked more before I asked my question, but things like this happen in high school. Thanks to all again.

Am I glad to find this forum. Anyways, I have been doing simple routing of signs and plaques, just trying to learn how to use the equipment. While trying to make a sign which is larger than the previous(new sign 3'x4', old 20"x7")I have gotten a message of "Excessive position error on the Y axix," and the machine stops. Can anyone help me find out what I might be able to do to fix my problem? We have version 8 MCam. I inherited the equipment with the job. Forgot to mention I am a high school teacher in my 2nd year. Thank you

We are behind in the versions(v8) right now, but my students are beginning to see how useful the equipment can be. We have an awesome project started, but came in on Monday to find out our Mill 8 program is not operating the way it had been. We can usually draw on the top plain for graphics and what-nots, give it the depths and everything is ok. Now it says with a boxed message "Warning-the construction plane is perpendicular to the graphics view," with an OK button. Since I am still learning the program, I have no clue. I tried checking the Gview and C plane, but have not been successful. I tried to create a rec, and it asks for lower left corner, which it accepts, then upper right, but brings up the message. can anyone help us out or point us to someone who might be able to help us?
