In the toolmanager when I highlight the tools/export then report file, what is driving the layout of the report file itself, and can it be modified?

MCam in my opinion is more processor driven than memory. Faster processor = Faster toolpaths being built. 4 Gig of Ram here, doesnt do anything quicker than with 2 Gig. Dual processor is good though when working with multiple files. Ex. programming large molds, e-mail, excell, Firefox, and all the other stuff we use daily. Otherwise your box is locked untill the toolpaths regen. This is a big selling point to the check writers when trying to upgrade. The benchmark tests kind of confirm this. I use a Dell straight from the factory with 1 step down on the "best" video card, and dual CPU. 10 K drive is a nice feature to keep stuff local and off the network untill done with it. You guys building boxes up are just banging your heads; Its fun to do untill you have problems and need tech support to fix it. Sounds more like a PITA to me. Just my opinion; dont mean to hurt anyones feelings.

Not sure, I usually usually use an inserted cutter with a .030 radius (square endmill) If you set your cut depth pretty close you can get a pretty good finish. Most of the tapered pins I cut are above the 5" length and I run a rough and a finish pass on them. They take forever though.

Easiest way just do a 2d contour at the top and then in depth cuts give it your angle you want to carry thru. I do this on long internal tapered hollow pins with thin walls that a taper reamer just grabs and spins the part. Put in a wear comp and your all set to dial it in.

OK. I give. Im spoiled in the fact that machine memory was never an issue. Short of running off a card for everything I would like to jump in some subs. Hear me out. I understand how to use the transform toolpath to move things around. What I would like to do is more direct. I have a bunch of cbores on a plate (random points) and want to use a helix to cut them. I would like be able to program the helix for one and then pick the points manually for the rest of them and use a sub. How do I do this without changing the code around by hand after the post?

Seems like somethings weird with your file Thad. I saved it out as an .sat and brought it back in as surfaces with edge curves. I got all the wireframe but only one surface showed up.

rename the .piz to .zip then extract it. Most .zip extensions get shot down at the firewall level.
