  1. We work on the waterfront right off the ocean, turned out to be bad corrosion on one of the holders that hasnt been used in a while, got it out and cleaned and oiled every holder, few taps with a ballpeen on the holder did the trick, dead blow was too soft i guess

Was worried the drawbar failed, not an easy job on an integrex 400

  2. Is it possible to change the tool nose radius on the controller if the operator wants to use a different insert from what I programmed, or does that have to be done in mastercam?  our machines are Mazaks.

I guess i forgot to say it is for a quick turn lathe, and an integrex

Yes, but you just have to be ware the main is moving all the time the sub is doing what it needs for the toolpath.

Yes the MT environment has stripped most of the normal milling toolpaths out of the product. 5 axis Parallel is about the closest you're going to get to Flowline. I have drawn the flowline chains using create curve flowline and then driven the toolpath using 3D contour.

I found my problem, I have to manually input my work offset before the c-axis locks and the and the 2 spindles sync

well that is a great idea

  5. I am having problems doing multiaxis tool paths on the sub spindle, It works fine on the main, but when I try on the sub spindle it links the main spindle and attempts to sync the main spindles and seems to output the c axis moves in reverse.  Am I missing something in the toolpath to not sync spindles and output U axis for the sub?

  6. We are upgrading one of our hasps for this machine, my question is should we get the mill turn option or will we be fine with 5ax addon?  We already have mill level 3 and lathe on this seat.  The machine does not have a lower turret

Yes.. Front view shows it clearly now

If you use that file I uploaded you need to change the tip comp back to tip from center on the Tool Parameters page otherwise it will post wrong

and your operator will get a nasty surprise

Thats great, dont want to have to purchase 5axis just to do an undercut

Use Flowline. Turn off all gouge checks.

Surface Finish Contour seems to be broken for Undercutting. I have used it successfully dozens of times in versions before 2017. I haven't had to do Undercutting since about X9.

I tried it just the other day in Mastercam 2020, and Surface Finish Contour was broken for doing this...

Flowline is crashing my computer, for a simple operation this is being very frustrating
