  1. Does anyone have the SP1 update for version 9.1? I am tring to re-install my software and I can only get SP2 update on line but it needs SP1 first. My dealer says he does not have it.

If anyone can e-mail it to me or tell me a link I would appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Gene

  2. I am thinking of getting version X, I am now on version 9.

I am concerned about the posts, we have made extensive modifications to our posts.

Will I need to develop new posts for version X or can I use my current posts?

Will my current posts do everying version X demands?

  3. Is there a way to add inspection tooling onto the setup sheet?

I would like to add thread gages, plug gages and items like this to my tool lists.

If I add them as a tool I must pick geo for them to come out on printout. (then they are still undifined)

I am using the standard setup sheet with mastercam.

I can add these as notes but I would like to have them come out with my tool list as tools needed for the job.

Can anyone give me some advise?

    Thanks,

    Gene Newman

  4. Does anyone out there have the engraving package?

I am doing more and more engraving on the machine and was wondering if the engraving package was worth the money.

I would appreciate any and all input.

    Thanks,

    Gene

  5. No, I don't mean contour.

Under toolpaths click next menu, then

circ tlpths, then circle mill. Then pick the dia. you want to cut. On the cut screen set your "start angle" and "entry" both to 90 deg.

make sure you -check- start at center.

This will start tool in center of hole then make one pass to finish dia. and give automatic lead in and lead out. You can use cutter comp or not.

  6. When I removed cfg files and re-loaded, it worked just fine. Then I went back to old cfg file and line 503 was .ops. I must of looked at mill9m.cfg which has .nci.

This seems to have done the trick.

Thank you so much for helping me find the problem. Somehow I must of changed the cfg file. I have now re-screen configed to where I was and am running smooth again.

    Thanks again,

    Gene

  7. Thanks for responding.

I'm using v9.osp1 and xp for windows.

You are correct, it is when I want to change nci path, but also this is what first comes out with when I define a cut.

What I get when changing is:

    Unknown File (*.ops) or

    All Files (*.*)

When it posts I do get a .nc file, but with extension .ops for nci I cannot post. I must change to .nci.

This just happened last night when I was messing around with different setup sheets. My previous program are correct.

  8. I don't know what I did, but now when I go to change the nci from operations manager I get a .ops extension instead of a .nci.

My only options are .ops or all files.

Can anyone help me get this corrected?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. I am having problems with my V9SP1. When I translate/rotate a toolplane with mulitple tools and cuts and assign new work offsets, it doesn't generate the work offsets I am asking for. Instead I get incremental offsets or ones all over the place. It seems to ignore my starting work offset and defaulting to what is used last then addding up. (kinda like V9 did with re-numbering tools if you remember)

When I run same program in V8 it works just fine.

Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong or if there is a fix for this?

I would appreciate it if someone could help me here.

    Thanks,

    Gene Newman
