Yes the attributes seem to be the same. However it seems to have made a monkey out of me because I cannot duplicate the problem that I have been having for 2 weeks. Maybe the random pushing of buttons did something. Stranger things have happened.

I am getting a duplicate and offset geometry when running backplot . It can be left, right, up or down. It usually only happens on the first try when opening a new file. Using version X. Any suggestions?

I am having a similar problem with the backplot flashing with Wire EDM version X , but I can't open the Backplot dll. C hook file. Can you tell me what to open it with? Is it a windows file.

I was getting the same problem . The wire was going back to start point directly from the stop. This was with the Output Stop Code having the "As Stop Point" checked.

But when the "As Glue Stop" was checked the wire made a return finish pass on the contour.

Sorry I came in late in this thread, maybe you've got that worked out by now.

I am having a problem with the finish cut on a 4 axis Wire EDM program relating to Nurb Splines. I have chained geometry from the customers' DXF file and have the filter on with Tolerance settings of .0001 an Minimum Arc Radius of .0001 and it still will not cut a smooth surface on a 2" dia. half round feature. The bottom dia is .5" larger and offset .5" laterally compared to the top. The finish looks somewhat corrugated like the wire is still following the nurb spline.

I don't think I can change the spline to an arc because it will change the geometry of the part as some of the features are eliptical.

Using version 9 on this program.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

Ok, it most likely is O/E, but you have to create the geometry and click or enter. When you do that the Undo icon is not highlighted, but when you click again as if to continue creating the same geometric feature the Undo will highlight. I don't remember it being like that in Version 9.

Just below the create function in the menu bar, the Undo and Redo buttons will not highlight and therefor will not function. They are however highlighted when in the process of creating geometry but after the enter button is clicked the highlight goes away./ Any suggestions?

I am trying to set up the Wire Utilities Bar to make it possible to use the threading icon in generating the toolpath for Wire EDM.

Upon going to " Settings", "Customize" I am finding that the "Wire Utilities" that the book,

(Getting Started), indicates to select from the category,is not there. It should be between "Wire Toolpaths" and "Wireframe Toolpaths" but it's not there, so I cannot drag the icon to the toolbar and complete chaining the tool path. This icon seems to be nowhere to be found.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Thank-you.
