  1. Thank you all for your quick responses! I attached the Inventor ipt. file in the FTP site under "Tensile Test Specimen". The drawing file is also attached. If any of you could give me directions on how to set up the axis, recognize the 3D geometry, create a toolpath to machine this part, and generate the NC code, I would be in heaven! The machine I’m using is that of a Techno CNC lathe. It is a 2 axis machine (z & x). Here are the specifications for the machine http://www.techno-isel.com/education1/Ed_MetalLathe.htm . The site will also be filed in the Tensile Test Specimen folder. I really appreciate you all taking the time to help. I'll look foward to your responses. God Bless. Dennis
  2. Hello Everyone, I am trying to create a toolpath and machining operation on a part imported from Inventor. The machine I'm using to lathe the part is a 2 axis Techno Lathe CNC machine. I want to lathe a simple metal dogbone specimen to use for tensile testing. I don't know where to begin. Could some of you experts lend a helping hand? I'm desperate! I could send the inventor file to anyone who has time. It probably is simple, but I am new to this software. The tutorials do not help. Thanks.
