To not run Mastercam in general on Vista?
Or just the early release of X?
-
Does anyone know if there is a patch to
make the Original release of X run properly on
Windows Vista?

Are you looking for someone to do the work, or just for Matl.

Colin - Ya thats exactly what I had been doing. But for some reason its like it did not want to save, or loose that old post, I even went into the posts from the CD and deleted all of them execpt my new one, and it still brought them all back, finally I went to the location of that old post and DELETED it (from that folder) and then my OP Manager showed NONE for post, I then went into the CD and selected my new post, and It finially saved it. Maybe this has something to do with it reading a post outside of the normal MCX directories?

Alrighty, its finally working!! Thanks alot guys.

K, thanks guys, I'll try that!

I have been using the save button.. but now you touched on a new subject for me, Import all pages?? please explain..
-
I have tried thru the OP Manager, and by openinig the Machine Def. Manager Icon, then opening the Control Def. from there.

Is there any reason why the "save" icon will not actually save the changes to my control, or machine definition, I have added a new post, and when I exit, it acts like its saving, but when open my properties page, it still shows the old one.. its like its not saving the change...

Thanks guys, this clears it up a bunch. Makes perfect sense. I was modifying someone elses toolpath, the selected geo must have been one of the models circles, which is why the OD and ID diameters where grayed out!

Hello to all! I'm a little new here, so Iwill start with a quick intro. I'm an 8 year CNC Machinist/Programmer (Mostly FANUC) out of SA, TX. I'm using X mr2. I was hoping someone can explain how the thread mill toolpath comes up with the Major diameter (ID thread) or Minor diameter (OD thread). The "Allowance (overcut)" under the thread mill tab, changes the output of this diameter.. but I'm not sure why, or if that is what I'm suppose to use. Any help would be great! Thanks
