  1. Doosan 2000SY

    Mike,

Look in the parameter manual in the back cabinet door on that machine - should be a blue binder with the parameter backup disk and all the factory parameter / calibration info. Look in the back and see if you can find reference to the keep relay that controls where the turret indexes. I looked in the book for our 2600Y and couldn't find anything. If you cannot find it in your book, I have a couple of really good contacts at Doosan's home office in Jersey and they can help you out. If you need their info, email me at [email protected]

  2. I would like to find a drawing for our Daewoo 3016L. I contacted our dealer but they never got back to me.

    Any ideas?

Hockey Guy - if you call Doosan over in Jersey and tell them what you are up to I'll bet they can send you what you need...

  3. Not exactly a Mastercam question - but we are looking for a good reliable company to do Jig / Centerless / Throughfeed grinding. They don't necessarily have to be in the NC / SC area. We have a need for shops that can do Gear Hobbing as well... Anybody hear know of any good reliable quality conscious shops looking for work? These are engine and chassis parts for racecars, so nothing huge as far as size goes. And nothing in huge quantities, either... 50 - 100 piece orders.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. There is a door interlock "keep relay" that you can toggle on or off by adjusting a parameter, You should be able to find it in your electrical diagram or ladder for the machine... The machinery dealers and Fanuc are reluctant to tell you about it because it overrides the interlock safety feature of the door... Went through this with a couple of machines here...

  5. I'm writing a macro and when its all done, I need to reset a string of variables back to zero... I.E. #704 - #720=0 Is there a quick and easy way to do this without writing #704=0, #705=0, #706=0... at the end of my program???

    Thanks,

  6. We are looking for a good, reliable vendor to do some zinc chromate conversion coating for us. The place we use now is less than consistent in the quality of product they provide. banghead.gif We generally send quantities of less than 100 pieces out at a time, so this isn't a huge volume of parts by any means.

    Any contacts are greatly appreciated!!!

    Thank you! cool.gif

  7. The geometry you are chaining might be a spline - that will output point to point moves sometimes... Analyze entity properties to find out - and if it is, try converting it to an arc se eif it helps...

  8. What I did was basically right out of the machine tool manufacturer's manual... I just put it in a spread sheet so it would be easy to print out or keep record of what got done when. You can keep track of it on the computer or hang it inside the machine cabinet door and have the guys check it off as they do stuff...

The hardest part of the whole deal is scheduling down time... So we pick 4 or 5 things to PM on the machine each time and over the course of a couple of months, it all gets done, just not all at once... then if we have a machine sitting - which luckily, is rare, we jump on it and knock out some more maintenance...

kind of an ongoing never ending deal, but it sure beats having a dead machine because we didn't do anything...

  9. OK... I'm back... Crazy Millman... That's huge... Let me sit here and sort that out...

as scary as this sounds... engineering has a formula here that looks like it has some promise... I'm going to try that out here today... I'll keep you all posted...

    Thanks for the help...

    -Dan

  10. You guys are awesome... Let me digest some of this... I thought the Renishaw was capable of doing this... We are using Blum stuff here and I'm getting the feeling from the app guy that they can't do it, which seems weird to me... I'll have some time to look this over in the morning...

Thank You all... I'll be back...

  11. I am holding a part with a flat top face on a trunion style rotary table on a vertical machining center... I want to hit the top face with a probe in 3 places to establish the orientation of the plane, and I need a macro that will sort out how much turn and how much tilt the rotary table needs to "level" the top face of that part...

There has got to be somebody out there doing this... It's on a Fanuc 21i-MB

confused.gif Anybody have any ideas of where I can look? confused.gif

    Thanks.

  12. I use to have to change the file extension on my prototrax stuff to .CAM in order for the control to read it off of the disk... never had any problems with the mastercam post... that was an mx3 series though... don't know if that helps or not...
