Yes I believe so.

We have a couple of our routers with pop up
pins used to locate to the corners for
production runs. Check with your router guys to
see if they offer them for your machines.

I agree with tim on the contour ramp.

If you go to the linear page of your
control def there is the option to break
or not break linear motion.

Latheman,
Sorry for coming across a little sensitive,
I just have family and friends that are having
a hard time and I am just concerned for them.
-
latheman,
That is a little harsh. There is
a lot of people willing to work,
that have no control over what is
happening with their places of
employment. Depending on the area
you live, there may or may not be
other options. I am blessed, where
I work we have quite a bit of work,
and some of the jobs are spread out
over several years. However there is
a lot of people around here willing
to work that can not find it and
are extremely frustrated.
Telling a man that is about to loose
his home and has to move his family
to try and find work, all the while
spending what retirement he has left
to make it happen that he is unwilling
to work does not sit to well with me.
You might want to rethink your statement
unless you have been there.

We have stayed for the most part busy.
Had a production meeting with the owner
yesterday, and he informed us of several
new large POs. Looks like we will be
very busy the rest of the year.

I also would go with Dell.
I bought a M90 laptop a couple
of years ago with no problems.
Very stable machine.

Yes thanks Colin and Thad you got me
out of a tight spot today.

John,
I forgot to add that I run Vista 64 bit.

John,
I had a problem with my drilling cycles recently
after I installed the latest window update that
included IE8. I had this problem with X3. Our IT
guy removed IE8 and I reinstalled X3. I now use
Firefox. It correct the problem and since then
I have installed X4 and so far no problems with
my drill cycles.

We bore plastic sometimes on our
routers and we use plastic drills
from Onsrud Cutter. Their designed to
break the chips so they don't rap up
around the spindle. HTH

Sounds like a great place to work Ron.

I agree, nice work.

I would be all for a new sub forum.
I use SolidWorks 09 everyday and
I am always looking for new ways to
improve.

Go to your operations manager, files,
go down to operations defaults, click the
exclamation mark, change whatever you
would like for your default.
